Why page estimates show a range — and what that means for you
Every PDF is different. A supplier's text-only price list processes faster and uses fewer credits per page than a scanned brochure. The same credit pool goes further for simpler files.
Plain Text Catalog
Machine-readable text, no embedded images. Typical supplier price lists or spec sheets.
Mixed Catalog
Text alongside product images, formatted tables, or branded product layouts.
Scanned / Image PDF
Camera-scanned pages or PDFs where content is rasterized images — requires OCR and AI vision processing.
You always know before you commit
Before processing any PDF, CatalogBot detects its layout and shows you the exact number of credits that will be used. You can cancel at no cost — no hidden deductions, no post-import surprises.
Page estimates on plan cards reflect the typical range from scanned PDFs (lower bound) to plain-text PDFs (upper bound) for that plan's credit pool. Actual page capacity depends entirely on the structure and content of your uploaded PDF — not on the number of products inside it.

What file types can CatalogBot read?+
PDFs (including multi-page wholesale catalogs) and CSV exports. The AI handles messy, real-world layouts - not just clean spreadsheets.
Does it publish to my store automatically?+
Only if you want it to. You can review and edit every product in-app first, then push to Shopify with the status you choose - Active, Draft, or Archived - or import directly in one click.
How does the SEO content work?+
For each product, CatalogBot generates search-friendly titles, descriptions, and tags from the catalog data. You can edit or regenerate anything before it goes live. SEO generation is included on Growth and above.
Is there really a free plan?+
Yes - free forever, no card required. It covers small catalogs with CSV import. Paid plans unlock AI PDF reading, SEO content, higher limits, and direct publishing with any product status.
Can I use it for multiple suppliers or stores?+
CatalogBot connects to a single Shopify store per installation. However, you can import catalogs from multiple suppliers into that single store.
